Identification of a novel pro-apoptotic signaling molecule (Apo-2 ligand)
- Using sequence information from human genome databases, Genentech researchers were among the first to identify a novel pro-apoptotic signaling molecule and infer the existence of a novel receptor molecule.2
Identification of a novel decoy receptor for endogenous Apo2L/TRAIL
- DcR1 was identified as a novel receptor that appeared to act as an indirect inhibitor of apoptosis by sequestering the pro-apoptotic signaling molecule Apo2L/TRAIL.4
Exploration and identification of additional receptor molecules involved in the regulation of apoptosis
